This week, we grill the gorgeous host of Dirty Jobs, Jo-Beth Taylor, on her foodie favourites.
Q. What dishes are in your recipe repertoire?
A. Most of the time I'm cooking for a five-year-old, so it's pretty simple. His favourite is rack of lamb with roast garlic potatoes.
Q. Friends unexpectedly drop by and you ask them to stay for dinner. What do you cook?
A. During summer, I would throw together a salad of tomato, avocado, feta cheese, olives and cucumber with grilled chicken. During winter, you can't go past roast vegies with garlic and pumpkin soup.
Q. What's your favourite Friday night meal and where will you eat it
home or out?
A. Japanese takeaway.
Q. What's your favourite romance food?
A. Japanese food it's so clean and simple and tastes great by candllelight.
Q. What's your favourite indulgence food?
A. Chocolate.
Q. What's your favourite health food?
A. I love anything healthy, but probably organic eggs.
Q. If you could have five foods on a desert island, what would they be?
A. Chocolate, berries, triple brie cheese, rice and chilli.
Q. What's your favourite restaurant?
A. Ricky's river bar and restaurant in Noosa.
Q. What sort of food do you eat when you're stressed with a deadline?
A. You can't beat a piece of sourdough toast and Vegemite when stressed. The vitamin B in the Vegemite is good for you. You need lots of vitamin B when stressed.
Q. What food would you quite happily never eat again?
A. Anything with lentils.
Have you ever eaten with anyone famous?
A. I had dinner with Shania Twain in Melbourne. Ha!
