Banana smoothie

A thick fruit drink with vanilla icecream and bananas, easy and quick to make
INGREDIENTS

1-2 ripe bananas
1 scoop vanilla icecream
1 cup milk (of choice)

METHOD

Place the sliced bananas, icecream and milk in a blender jar and blend to a smooth drink.


Transfer to a bowl/jar, and refridgerate. Serve and enjoy the drink

I love to add raw egg as it gives me that extra protien! Makes it really yummy as well! Ice-cream is a necessity if you're adding raw egg otherwise it can make it taste disgusting.
I make this banana smoothie with soy milk - good for the girls having hot flushes! We have it for breakfast with yoghurt instead of icecream, a banana and milo B smart for added iron and iodine. Soy is supposed to be helpful and this way I can't taste the soy milk - but still yummier than tofu!
Another variation to this already yummy smoothie that my family loves is apart from the ice cream, milk & banana, we also add a couple of teaspoons or tablespoons of malt, depending how many you're making as well as some honey..............delicious!
I usually make this smoothie with pretty ripe bananas and just milk for a very healthy smoothie. In my opinion the ice cream is unnecessary and just makes it too sweet considering banana is sweet enough. Also another thing i've tried adding and might seem disgusting to some of you is weetbix (which is a wholewheat biscuit type thing) and it makes the smoothie pretty thick and is very healthy if you're on a diet and want to cut down on calories as it fills you up for a long time without much carbs
i add some 2 or more spoons of milo, vanilla esscense and much more ice- cream for a delicious treat!
A more healthy and delicious banana smoothie can be made with one banana, one small tub yogurt, vanilla essence, milk , and honey to sweeten all whizzed up with ice-cubes in a blender.
Makes a great nutritious healthy snack or breakfast. A variation for the diet conscious is to freeze banana and then mix with milk in blender. Needs to be consumed immediately as the frozen banana thickens it up without the need for ice cream. A few drops of vanilla essence makes it extra nice.
Great for a breakfast, especially if your in a hurry. I just added one (1) teaspoon of pure vanilla extract and another cup of milk ( 2% or whole )
