Quick easy dessert, no cooking or heat required, great for camping trips.
INGREDIENTS
1 large can pineapple pieces (well drained)
2 cans mandarin segments (well drained)
1 packet of white marshmallows (chopped into small pieces)
1 carton of sour lite cream
3 tablespoons dessicated coconut
Block of white chocolate
METHOD
Mix the sour cream, coconut and marshmallows together thoroughly with a wooden spoon.
Fold in the pineapple and mandarin (these come second so they don't get mashed up).
Put into bowls and then shave decorative curls of white chocolate on top of each.

My grandmother has been making ambrosia for christmas for years, the only difference is she add sherry or port as well. Gives it that little bit of a kick.
I also have been using this salad for the last 30 odd years minus the chocolate. my family and friends love it with their bbq steak. will have to start making it again. thanks for the memories.
I have been making this as a dessert for 10 years it is a hit with my whole family and friends. I have always used a can of fruit salad drained along with the sour cream and marshmallows quick and easy for anyone to make.
