Penne della nonna
INGREDIENTS
500g penne
90g butter, melted
1 cup (120g) frozen peas
300ml cream
100g thin slices prosciutto, cut into strips
1 cup (80g) grated parmesan, plus extra, to serve
METHOD
1. Cook penne in a large saucepan of boiling, salted water according to packet directions. Drain and return to saucepan.
2. Add butter and peas. Cook on medium for 3 minutes, until peas have thawed. Stir in cream and prosciutto and cook for another 3 minutes, until pasta is well coated and cream thickens slightly.
3. Add parmesan and season to taste. Serve with extra parmesan.
